Whole, hulled buckwheat grains have a diameter between 3 and 5mm. Buckwheat is naturally gluten-free. Trouw b.v. processes only buckwheat. That is one of the reasons why we can essentially rule out any prior gluten contamination of our products.

At Trouw b.v. it is only after thorough cleansing of the raw buckwheat (raw material) that the product is dehulled (i.e. removal of the hard shell). During this process, we make sure that buckwheat’s valuable nutritional substances are retained as much as possible.

Our fresh, hulled buckwheat has a light green to yellow, light beige colour. Trouw b.v. always ensures the fresh dehulling of buckwheat for every customer; therefore, the product has no discolouration, and always looks fresh and attractive.
