Fine Trouw buckwheat grits are approx. 1.0 mm. The colour on the planes of fracture is white, while the colour on top ranges from light green to light beige.

Buckwheat is naturally gluten-free. Trouw b.v. processes only buckwheat. That is one of the reasons why we can essentially rule out any prior gluten contamination of our products.

At Trouw b.v. it is only after thorough cleansing of the raw buckwheat (raw material) that the product is dehulled (i.e. removal of the hard shell). During this process, we make sure that buckwheat’s valuable nutritional substances are retained as much as possible. At Trouw b.v., grits are made purely from (whole hulled) buckwheat and therefore all essential and valuable nutritional substances of buckwheat are retained.
